5x15 stories

5x15 Stories is an events company that was founded to run a monthly event where 5 speakers, usually authors with upcoming books, speak for 15 minutes each. This format has gained popularity over the last 15 years, and some notable speakers have been filmed at these events. In addition to these events, 5x15 also collaborates with other organisations to produce events, either in the same 5-speaker format or larger events featuring a single speaker. Although activities slowed down during Covid-19, live events have resumed, and regular events are being covered once again. All of the videos recorded at these events are available on their website - 5x15.com. Below are a few examples of some noteworthy videos.

Rory Cellan-Jones

Our Role - filming editing

One of the speakers from a recent event at the home of 5x15, the Tabernacle in Notting Hill. 15 minutes is such a great format!

Emma Watson - Dr Denis Mukwege

Our Role - filming, editing

This was an event with another events company ‘The How to Acedemy’ who we have also worked with for many years as its was founded by one of the owners of 5x15. We have also been lucky enough to film Emma Watson for them a couple of times. This is a fascinating event with Nobel Peace Prize laureate Dr. Denis Mukweg. For this event as well as our normal 4 camera set up we also had to live stream into a different event space as the demand was so high for tickets.

Guy Shrubsole

Our Role - filming, editing

This is one of a series of talks from another partnership with the Royal Botanic gardens at Kew. We have filmed a few events recently at Kew and its a lovely setting for listening to interesting talks.

Neil Gaiman & David Mitchell @ 5x15 - In Conversation

Our Role - filming, editing

An amazing venue and fascinating conversation between two amazing authors. Sometimes we are really lucky to film the things we do!

Sophie Pavelle

One of the partnerships that 5x15 have is with the Eden project and here is one of the talks we covered down at the amazing Eden project.
